Resources

I live in the Omaha, Nebraska area (Elkhorn to be specific), and I am so incredibly amazed and thankful for the various grieving support groups available in our area.  Below you will find two non profits that I can recommend for anyone grieving in our area:

"HEALing Embrace strives to bring hope and healing to the grieving hearts and to celebrate and honor the lives of babies gone too soon."

Such a passionate organization that aids in the healing of families after the loss of their precious baby.  I have such a passion for mothers who have lost a child.  Losing a baby must be incredibly difficult and I can imagine the road to healing is quite long.  Thank you Healing Embrace for your dedication to this cause.

"No one has to grieve alone. We believe everyone has a right to excellent and compassionate grief support and that our community is stronger with it."

Formally Ted E. Bear Hollow, Grief's Journey is also a compassionate organization that offers grief support and hope for grieving children, teens and adults in the Omaha and Council Bluffs area.  I personally know of three children who were greatly impacted by the compassionate care and support by Ted E. Bear Hollow (now Grief's Journey).

"GriefShare is a friendly, caring group of people who will walk alongside you through one of life’s most difficult experiences. You don’t have to go through the grieving process alone."

This is a national organization that I am also very familiar with and can confidently encourage anyone to seek suport through their program.  It is very easy to find a group near you on their website.
